Designed and built an API gateway in Salesforce — a set of secure, reusable Apex REST services exposing billing operations from the platform.
MuleSoft consumed these Salesforce APIs and re-exposed them to Ada, an external AI chatbot, forming a clean layered integration: Ada → MuleSoft → Salesforce. Salesforce owned all the downstream business logic for each billing request, kept behind a controlled API surface.
This let customers self-serve billing operations through the chatbot with no agent involvement, reduced manual support dependency, and established a reusable, secure integration pattern for AI-driven service workflows.
